Mariana was born in San Luis Potosi. She has a graduate degree in Hotel Trade and Tourism and is a Certified Meeting Specialist (CMS). Excellent customer service and attention to detail define her. She began her professional career in 2005 working for Princess Cruises. Her experience in incentive travel comes from working for the Fiesta Americana Condesa Hotel in Cancun, in the sales department, where she performed as wedding, group, and convention planner; during eight successful years, she planned more than 70 weddings, 360 business meetings, 100 groups and conventions, and fam trips, among others. The curriculum she built up in this hotel includes numerous positive reviews by clients testifying to her commitment and professionalism.
She joined IVI DMC in 2014 as a business executive, a position that she describes as a new undertaking in her career. In 2015, due to her dedication and being goal oriented, she was appointed as Business Manager. In her new position, she proudly continues displaying her top priorities: Excellent customer service and attention to detail, qualities that enable her to establish, develop, and strengthen successful relationships with clients.
Personal Favorites
Local Attraction:Rio Secreto as it is difficult to find a natural setting that compares to it. The spectacular formations found here are truly amazing. Xibalbá´s ("Xibalbá" - Mayan Underworld) is one of a kind).
Recreational Activity: Riding the ATVs through the Jungle is one of the best experiences I have ever had. Not only do I enjoy the adventure, but also the gorgeous natural surroundings.
Restaurant: Puerto Madero has the absolute best soufflé8 - potatoes ever!!! A classy restaurant and local favorite by many for its beautiful scenery and great service.
International Event:Formula 1 for the adrenaline, speed, excitement, and people... everything that’s needed for the best event. It is an incredible experience no matter the sponsoring county.

Fauna and Flora Biodiversity
Colombia is the second most biodiverse country in the world and confirmed as the first with an avifauna of 1865 species — not to mention we have from 45 to 55 thousand flower species. It is home to 20% of the bird species in the world, 17% amphibians, 8% reptiles, and many more unimaginable animals.

Gastronomic Variety
Gastronomy varies throughout every region of the country. You can find the freshest seafood in the Caribbean and Pacific, delicious soups and creams in the center of the country, bandeja paisa, ajiaco, and more than 150 varieties of fruits, vegetables, and dishes.

We are the second happiest country in the world — joy and happiness are what distinguish Colombia among other countries in South America. Colombians are very different from each other as our flowers and fruits — we are a blend of physical features, races, and accents.

The Beaches
With the perfect location, the country is settled between two oceans, each with its unique characteristics and landscapes that give way to approximately 300 beaches. We have Providence Island in the Caribbean where you can find a coral barrier beyond 19 miles in length. Also the third biggest reef in the world and in the pacific islands you can find the spectacular humpback whales sing. Weather and Landscapes
We don’t have seasons in Colombia, however, the weather and temperature vary just as the landscapes. In many areas of the country, you can find mountains like the Andes Snow Peaks
and Volcanoes, though, this is not everything; we also have the Amazonas Rainforest and the Caribbean and Pacific shore. There is something that will amaze you at any location you choose.

Arts
You can find the works of distinguished artists and museums known to the world in Colombia, but as locals enjoy the works handcrafts you´ll also encounter flower structures made by farmers from Antioquia, knitted bags by Wayuu natives and mud structure models by hand.

Festivals, Fairs, and Celebrations
There is always a good time to celebrate, it doesn't matter the time of the year. Some of the most prominent carnivals and events in Colombia are The Black and White Carnival in Pasto, The Iberoamerican Theater Festival in Bogota, The Flowers Fair in Medellin, and the Barranquilla’s Carnival.

Architecture
Colombian architecture is very diverse as the country itself. Modern buildings and structures in cities like Bogota and Medellin depict the evolution of the country and places like Salento Quindio, Villa de Leyva Boyaca, and San Felipe Castel in Cartagena display the Colonial heroic history along their streets.

Music
In this country, we have countless musical rhythms. In the Caribbean, you can dance Champeta or enjoy in the Pacific Salsa Choque. Marvel yourself with the harp from Llanos Orientales or the accordion from the City of Cesar, show off your salsa moves in Cali, or swing your hips dancing the Colombian Cumbia.
